In this topic

Introduction

This topic describes how an employee can complete their Synchronise Timesheets.

NOTE: You must have the Synchronise User web role to complete your own timesheets.

Accessing the Timesheet

To access the Synchronise Timesheets:

  1. Go to the Synchronise -> Timesheets -> Entry screen
  2. Use the date selector at the top right to select the week that you want to view/edit

NOTE: You can select any day in the timesheet period that you want to view/edit.

  3. The timesheet screen will refresh to show the timesheet for the chosen period

Adding a Work Task

NOTE: A work task is any task that has been configured in Synchronise which does not relate to Leave.

To add a new Work Task to your timesheet:

  1. Follow the instructions above to access the timesheet that you want to edit
  2. Click the Add button
  3. Choose the task that you want to add from the Task dropdown
  4. Click the OK button
  5. A line for that task will be added to the timesheet

Adding Leave

NOTE: This process allows you to add a Leave Application from within your Synchronise Timesheet.

To add a new Leave Application to your timesheet:

  1. Follow the instructions above to access the timesheet that you want to edit
  2. Click the Add Leave button
  3. Complete the leave application
  4. Click the Submit Application button
  5. A line for the leave application will be added to the timesheet

NOTE: For more information about Synchronise and Leave Management Integration, refer to the Leave Management Integration help topic.

Copying the Tasks from the Previous Timesheet

This process is useful for employees who typically enter times against the same tasks in each timesheet period. It allows you to copy the previous tasks and/or times from the previous timesheet.

To copy the previous tasks and/or times to your current timesheet:

  1. Follow the instructions above to access the timesheet that you want to copy to
  2. Click the Copy Previous button
  3. Click:
    • Objects Only to copy the previous tasks only
    • Objects and Hours to copy the previous tasks and their associated values
  4. Your previous timesheet’s tasks and/or hours will appear on the current timesheet

NOTE: This will not copy any previous Leave tasks from the previous timesheets. Only normal tasks will be copied.
