Introduction
This topic describes how an employer can enable the integration between Flare and Ready pay (powered by Aussiepay).
As an employer, by enabling the Flare integration, you can offer your employees a range of exclusive discounts and offers directly from within the Ready pay (powered by Aussiepay) platform, with no additional cost to you.
Embedded within the Ready pay (powered by Aussiepay) onboarding module, you can also take advantage of Flare’s streamlined superannuation selection processes to simplify the collection of complete and valid superannuation information from your new starters. Included in this process is the option for employees to consolidate their super quickly and easily.
Are there any costs to enable the Flare integration
No, enabling the integration and giving your employees access to benefits comes at no additional cost to you.
How do I enable an integration with Flare HR?
NOTE: You must have the Employer Authority web role to enable the integration with Flare.
To enable the integration follow the steps below:
- Go to the Employer -> Home screen
- Click on the Enable Benefits button found within the ‘Flare HR Integration’ widget
- Review your employer details, in particular your Default Super Fund and update (if required) before proceeding
- Click the Enable Integration button
- Your free Flare account will set up will be requested (the set up process can take 2-3 minutes.
After completing the above steps, you’ll return to the Employer -> Home screen where you can view the status of your integration. Until the account is set up, the Flare integration status will show as ‘In Progress’. Once an account is setup in Flare HR the integration status will change to ‘Success’.
When the integration is successfully set up, users with the Employee Self Service User web role will be able to access benefits and your new hires will be able to take advantage of the Flare super selection screens during the onboarding process.
What discounts and benefits are available through the Flare integration?
The available benefits will change from time to time, however can include discounts on phone plans, healthcare and retail such as:
- 10% off retailers including City Beach and Amart Furniture
- 10% off Optus phone plans for new customers
- Up to 8% off movie tickets
- Up to 9% off retailers including Supercheap Auto, BCF, Rebel Sports and Sunglass Hut
- 5% off Woolworths, Coles, Target, Kmart, Big W and Caltex
How can employees access the benefits?
After the integration has been successfully enabled, employees can access benefits by clicking on the My Benefits menu item.
Clicking on My Benefits will prompt the user to confirm or provide their mobile phone number, after which their benefits account will be created and a range of benefits and discounts will be available.
What does the super selection process look like if I have enabled the integration with Flare HR?
Flare HR’s super fund capture screen will appear in the ‘Complete Super Choice Details’ step of the onboarding wizard.

Employers will be able to see the super fund that the employee nominated when finalising the onboarding record.

Employees also can access the benefits of Novated leasing as part of salary packaging through Flare.
As per ATO - “A novated lease is a three-way agreement between an employer, employee and a novated lease provider where the employer takes on the obligation for repayments under the lease and a corresponding deduction is made from the employee salary.”
